Do I need to tell the DVLA my vehicle has been scrapped?

We want to make the process of scrapping your vehicle as hassle-free as possible. With over 30 years industry experience, our team have extensive knowledge of the whole process. Both you and the collector will need to complete and sign section 9 of the V5C document, however, it will then be your responsibility to send it to the DVLA. If you have any questions, our collection team will be more than happy to help you.

How long does the process take?

Once you have accepted your quote, we aim to arrange collection as soon as possible. We always book our collections on a date that is suitable for you and sometimes this can even be the same day. However, the collection process can be dependent on individual factors such as the condition of your vehicle, whether it has keys, if the location is accessible. You can be assured that here at Scrap My Car London & Luton we are industry experts and we will make the collection process as streamlined as possible. Once collected, payment is processed within 24 hours and will be in your account the next day.
